Sleep diagnostics

Sleep well, stay productive

Persistent fatigue, concentration problems, or snoring can be signs of a sleep disorder. With modern diagnostics, we help get to the root of the causes.

What causes poor sleep?

Sleep disorders have many faces—and often different causes. Below are some typical complaints for which sleep diagnostics may be useful.

Obstructive sleep apnea

  • Breathing interruptions
  • Often noticed by bed neighbors
  • Drowsiness
  • Micro sleep

Secondary diagnostics

  • High blood pressure
  • Cardiac arrhythmia
  • Cerebrovascular accident
  • Diabetes mellitus
  • Depression, memory problems
  • Libido disorders and erectile dysfunction

Snoring

  • Possibly associated with breathing interruptions
  • Cooperation with ENT colleagues

Chronic difficulty falling or staying asleep

  • Clarification of physical causes, e.g., in cases of breathing interruptions
  • Daytime sleepiness
  • Increased risk of many other diseases (see above)
  • Advice and, if necessary, prescription of digital health applications
  • Targeted drug therapy according to medical indication

Polygraphy (cardiorespiratory polygraphy)

  • Modern clarification
  • Screening for apnea
  • More accurate assessment and evaluation of severity
  • Collaboration with sleep laboratories to adjust ventilation therapy

Care of patients requiring ventilation

  • Regular supervision during therapy
  • If ventilation therapy fails, advice on alternative treatment methods such as tongue base pacemakers (hypoglossus) or special dental splints, etc.

Restless legs syndrome (RLS)/PLMD

  • Assessment and grading of movement disorders during the night using modern technology, including leg movement sensors
  • Initiation of therapy (iron supplementation, medication, if necessary)
  • Regular monitoring and support
  • Collaboration with neurological practices/clinics
